    Jinjyayama Trail

Jinjyayama (Higashiyama, Furano) is an isolated university forest patch surrounded by farmland. The Jinjyayama forest, with an altitudinal range of 280 to 490 m asl, is mainly composed of mixed conifers and broadleaf trees. The main tree species are Sakhalin fir (Abies sachalinensis), Japanese lime (Tilia japonica), painted maple (Acer pictum subsp. mon), and monarch birch (Betula maximowicziana). Trails are opened in a specific day of every year for local communities and citizens to enjoy the neighboring natural beauty.
